A beautiful story brought to live. No other movie can ever match it. A heart worming story of a lost young princess trying to find where she belongs and a boy who helps her make her dreams come true.

This story is excellent! Its so brilliant how they made the movie.. and the songs are nice as well.

Sadako (9 out of 10 )
This is such a good film! It is impossible to hate this, however there are a few historical inacuracies in the prolouge (e.g. Anastasia's age during the siege of the palace.)

Kim (9 out of 10 )
This ISN'T the script for the 1997 movie. It's for the 1956 movie. However, the script is absolutely beautiful, and it captures the notions of the story beautifully. I am ever so slightly annoyed that they are saying that it is the 1997 script, which I cannot find ANYWHERE

Gunnar (9 out of 10 )
I agree with Kim, this is not the 1997 movie script and that is the one that i need... but i guess i will have to make do with the 1956 script becuase the other does not seem to exist...

I love the secret of Anastasia, me and my niece watch it all the time. I think it is so good and the songs in it are amazing. We have watched it so many times that we know all the words and you should see my me niece 3 years of age saying the words she is cute.

Fleur Delacour's Man (10 out of 10 )
This is the best animated movie on the planet! I love the hedge maze, and the ship scenes.

Lucy (10 out of 10 )
Um I don't know what this is but it's not the 1956 script either, Rasputan isn't in that version for one thing? Love the movie though, of course!

Stephanie (8 out of 10 )
It's like a combination of two scripts or something. Color me confused.

Pita (4 out of 10 )
Well I used to think it was totally acurate and then I found out it wasn't. OK, the animation is really quite stunning and the actors are pretty good but come on! Really, all of the Romanovs were shot then burned, then their remains were thrown into the woods! (Sorry, too descriptive). So, I guess it's good for kids, but not for people who like history.

Mariah (10 out of 10 )
As you read the end credits, it's based on a musical. This is from that musical.

Lionheart (6 out of 10 )
I thought the movie was cute. When was the last time somebody actually cheered when somebody said "Long live the Romanovs"? Though as a history buff, I can say Nicky deserved that bullet (even though Russia didn't deserve the commies).

Erica (9 out of 10 )
I loved this movie! It was so sad!

I love this movie. The music and story is just amazing. Who ever said animation can't be based on history?

I loved the movie, it was so touching. I think the songs are great too. But I love who they chose to speak the parts.

I love the 1997 version of Anastasia. Because in some parts it's really funny. I guess it's because I haven't seen the 1956 movie at all.

This isn't the 1997, the 1956, or the musical version- it says it is the draft of the script, so I'm guessing it was the first one written for the 1997 film, and there were later many changes made. All of the principle characters are the same in both this script and the 1997 movie, but many events and lines differ. Although it's interesting to see what the original plan for one of my favorite movies of all time was, I'm kind of annoyed that I can't find the final version anywhere online. But oh well. Excellent movie! I love Dimitri.

Anastasia (10 out of 10 )
This appears to be a very early draft of the 1997 script. The characters are fully developed, but it includes a much longer introductory sequence, including a more detailed portrayal of the USSR, and without any of the lyric of the songs in the final version.

Hooha (10 out of 10 )
This is a very different draft of the movie script, suited more for a musical production. It was a nice reading experience, seeing all the characters not in the final movie, and the songs that never developed. Something you'll notice is the name Tatiana in place of Marie. Anastasia had three sisters: Olga, Tatiana, and Maria, and a brother Alexei. So when I saw "Tatiana" I knew it would be a different experience. Not surprising that this feels like a musical considering who worked on this fabulous movie, but not quite what you'll see if you pop in the Anastasia VHS.

Rianna (9 out of 10 )
This sure is a reaaally early draft of the 1997 movie script. It was a bit. Bleh, in some parts, but then again it's a draft. And it still had the essence. An absolutely beautiful movie. I would have loved to see that hypnotized Dmitri part, having him a little more involved with Rasputin sounds fun. ;D.

I'm definitely sure it's NOT the script of anything nor the draft of anything. I think it's a joke. I just read some parts but seriously I doubt they'd write about Sophie fat bottom and how she never got touched by anyone. Especially for a cartoon. They obviously used the characters names and added some quotes from the real movie to trick you. Disappointing.

Constantine (9 out of 10 )
This is the early draft of the 1997 animated film Anastasia. The songs (most of them anyway) are in the film, so it's not necessarily based on the musical, and the 1956 production is COMPLETELY different. This draft was AMAZING. I love the movie, but after reading this, I believe they should've sticked with the first draft. It would have been even better. I always liked Bartok, but in this version he appears to be so much more funny. The characters are equally well developed in either case, and the story more or less is the same. Great script. Great songs. Great movie. Nine stars (Because of some gaps- missing page, repeated words etc). Good job.

Rifka (10 out of 10 )
Although this is not the final draft of the movie, I love this script nonetheless. I wonder where D(i)mitri and Anya went at the end. They probably went and got married and got a house, though.

Absolutely AMAZING movie! This is a movie I'll be showing my kids when I'm older! Great family movie and such a fun movie to sing along to with subtitles.

I don't get everyone saying this isn't the animated movie. It 100% is but it is most likely a first draft...potentially even the spec script that was sent out without going through formal editing drafts. It even includes some of the original songs from the animated movie. I've seen the Ingrid Bergman 1956 film and while that is beautiful and a favorite of mine that is definitely not this script. Still a good read though
