Excellent movie! Can watch over and over. The levels and layers of meaning and complexity are probably only really revealed to avid and intelligent movie enthusiasts. Most everyday moviegoers may find it boring, but this is because they just don't understand the meanings and messages in the movie.

Ahh so beautiful.

I'd agree with both people from above. This movie was excellent. I love Bill Murray and Scarlett Johansson. They both were just so great. Also, considering how much I love Japan and Tokyo, the scenes in this movie were just amazing. I have probably watched this movie over 20 times this past year, and I'll never cease to love it. I'm no ordinary movie-viewer, if I see something that makes me curious, I'll watch the movie again, and I'm still viewing this movie to unlock all its mysteries. One of my personal favorite movies. YOU ROCK SOFIA.

I absolutely adored this movie. It's beautiful and inspiring, and like the imsdb opinion thing says, you really don't want it to end. I'm writing my own movie script right now, and I can only hope it turns out a fraction as beautifully as Sofia's work.

This was a beautiful movie, and it was nice to see Bill Murray in such a warm, touching role. I think the best scene is the last one. He's whispering something in her ear that no one can figure out, yet we can kind of figure out. Wonderful move, I've watched it on DVD so many times I'm afraid I'll wear it out. Bravo Sofia, Scarlett and Bill

In the beginning, I thought it just an ordinary love story, but as the story goes, it fascinated me. Everybody knows Sofia's father. Although, her work is a different kind but it is amazing. I'm waiting for Sofia's new work. She is the greatest woman director on earth.

Won't Sofia Coppola continue this story? I have fallen in love with this movie. I watch it over and over and keep wondering whether Bob's and Charlotte's lives are like after the movie. Too bad it took me 5 years to actually see it. I'm sure Sofia would be able to give us another piece of brilliance.
