The dialogue is superb, love this movie! Probably today would never get made- it's about people, not superheroes, vampires, ghouls, cartoons or based on a toy or a graphic novel. Shanley is a talented writer.Badr (9 out of 10 )
Agreeable film. It deserved those oscars that he has received. Oscar for Best Screeplay. Well Deserved I loved the Johnny character and that scene when he told Loretta that he'll not be going to marry her, and she became angry. I didn't expect her to do that I thought that she wanted Roonie and she wanted Johnny to not marry her And there's a kind of bitch: considering Loretta as Bitch, because she agreed to marry Ronnie when johnny won't marry her she 's for everybody. Such A bitch but I loved so much the movie. Well Done John Patrick Shanley.
