its very good action movie.

I guess this is the original script and not just what was in the movie, right? Because there are scenes (like the one with him having a talk with his daughter after he finds her at a rock concert) that obviously didn't make it into the movie. And there were a few other differences too.

It's ok, BUT I want to know why it's called TRUE lies because you can't tell the truth and lie at the same time. It's impossible.

I loved this one. It was funny and stayed in my brain for years with all those characters. Been there a couple of times! Thank you!

True Lies is one of my favorite movies and surely the most funny action movie out there, it's perfect entertainment and pure James Cameron magic.

Bryan (9 out of 10 )
Amelia, it is called True Lies because the lie that the used car salesman tells Doris turns out to be true about Harry. Well written screenplay.

When dealing with covert ops, a "TRUE LIE" is a lie that a soldier tells another person as if it were truth, KNOWING FULL WELL that the truth would only hinder the operation as it stands. So, no- it has nothing to do with the used carsalesman and everything to do with the oath that Harry Tasker made to keep Helen, his wife, in the dark about his true job. "Tell the lie as if it were a TRUE LIE and all will be remembered that way."- Shakespeare.
