On the first episode where Professor Farnsworth assigns their career chips, the folder it was in said contents of space wasp's stomach. You find out that the old crew died by a space wasp on the Black Box scene in this episode. Also on the first episode where fry falls into the freezer, you can clearly see Nibler's shadow. Well written show!
